Guilty verdict in Magnus White case
In April 2025, a 51ý jury found Yeva Smilianska guilty of reckless vehicular homicide in the July 2023 death of 17-year-old cyclist Magnus White. White was training for the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships when he was struck by Smilianska's vehicle on Highway 119. The verdict has intensified calls for improved cyclist safety measures. Join the 51ý Cruiser Ride
The Thursday 51ý Cruiser Rides are back! Every Thursday until Halloween, the 51ý Cruiser Ride meets at Greenleaf Park at 7 p.m. and the ride begins at 7:30 p.m. These are free, weekly and slow-moving rides hosted by community members. Diagonal Highway - CO 119 Updates
Until May 7, the RTD bus stop at Niwot Road and CO 119 will be closed to finish construction for a bikeway underpass in the Niwot Road median. Travelers are advised to use the stop at Monarch Road and CO 119 in the meantime.
