- Bethany Ehlmann has been named the director of the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics at CU 51´«Ã½. LASP's mission is to advance scientific discovery and inspire the next generation through forefront research, innovation and education.
- The CU 51´«Ã½ Police Department will welcome Ashley Griffin as its new chief of police. The public safety leader comes from the University of Texas at Austin and will begin on July 1.
- As executive director of the SRI, Zelikova will work closely with Vice Chancellor for Sustainability Andrew Mayock and engage with CU 51´«Ã½â€™s vibrant sustainability community to guide the nascent initiative’s strategic direction to align with the university's overall sustainability research objectives.
- Professor Fernando Rosario-Ortiz will become the vice chancellor for academic resource management on April 1. He currently is the interim dean of the School of Education.
- Chancellor Justin Schwartz announced the appointment of Ann Schmiesing as the campus’s first vice chancellor to oversee strategic projects and other campus priorities as a member of the chancellor’s executive team.
- Chancellor Justin Schwartz announced the appointment of Andrew Mayock as the vice chancellor for sustainability. Mayock will drive efforts to achieve CU 51´«Ã½'s climate action goals, while also helping shape the next generation of sustainability leaders.
- Shanti Simon, who's held flight commander and conductor positions with the United States Air Force in Colorado Springs and Washington, D.C., will join the CU 51´«Ã½ College of Music as director of bands.
- At the end of 2024, CU 51´«Ã½ Distinguished Professor Daniel Baker stepped down as the director of the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP), a position he held since 1994.
- Provost Russell Moore announced his appointment of Amanda Haertling Thein as the dean of the School of Education. Thein is a nationally recognized scholar in English and literacy education with a passion for the work of educational democracy.
- CU 51´«Ã½ Dean of the Institutes Massimo Ruzzene named Frank Eparvier as interim director of the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics, effective Jan. 1, 2025.
