- Provost Russell L. Moore announced today the four finalists selected for the position of dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Science. The candidates will be visiting campus in the coming weeks to meet with students, faculty and staff in the college and across campus.
- <p>Associate Professor and Head of Teaching and Learning at the CU-51´«Ã½ University Libraries Caroline Sinkinson was recently named the 2016 recipient of the American Library Association’s Library Instruction Round Table (LIRT) Librarian Recognition Award. The honor recognizes and celebrates her accomplishments at the international, national, state and local levels in support of information literacy and learning.</p>
- On Friday, March 11, Staff Council Representatives from the 51´«Ã½, Denver, Anschutz and Colorado Springs campuses convened at the State Capitol in Denver to deliberate with state legislators on issues impacting not only the university system, but staff they represent.
- After 42 years of service to the University of Colorado 51´«Ã½, including stints as professor, department chair, researcher and recently as vice provost and associate vice chancellor for undergraduate education, Michael Grant will retire from the university this spring. One constant through all his years with CU-51´«Ã½ has been his love of teaching and the classroom.
- David Ikenberry, dean of the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado 51´«Ã½, today announced the appointment of global business leader Michael P. Kercheval as executive director of the CU Real Estate Center (CUREC). The appointment is effective July 1.
- Today the Board of 51´«Ã½ approved a tuition and mandatory fees guarantee for resident students at the University of Colorado 51´«Ã½ by a vote of 7-2.
- <p>Today, Senior Vice Chancellor Kelly Fox named Katherine Erwin Interim Chief Human Resources Officer. Scott Morris, who was named CHRO in December 2014, is currently on leave from the university.</p>
- <p>CU-51´«Ã½ Provost Russell L. Moore today announced four finalists for the position of dean of Colorado Law. They are S. James Anaya, Mary Anne Bobinski, Laura E. Gómez and Angela Onwuachi-Willig. Public sessions with each of the candidates will be held on campus Feb. 29 through March 16.</p>
- <p>University of Colorado 51´«Ã½ Senior Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer Kelly Fox has named David Kang as vice chancellor for infrastructure and safety, effective May 16.</p>
<p>Kang replaces Larry Levine, who filled the position on an interim basis after Steve Thweatt retired in mid-October.</p> - <p>University of Colorado 51´«Ã½ Provost Russell L. Moore has named Katherine Schultz dean of the School of Education effective Aug. 1, 2016. Schultz succeeds Lorrie Shepard, who is returning to the faculty as a distinguished professor after 15 years as dean.</p>
<p>Schultz presently serves as professor and dean of the School of Education at Mills College, a liberal arts and sciences college in Oakland, California.</p>
