Captain Brendan F. MacVarish hails from Hollis, New Hampshire.ÌýÌýHe commissioned into the Marine Corps from the United States Naval Academy in May of 2019, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering.ÌýÌýFollowing his commission, he reported to The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia in June of 2019, and graduated in December of 2019.ÌýÌýIn January of 2020 he reported to the Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California to attend the Basic Communications Officer Course.Ìý
Upon his graduation in May of 2020, he received orders to Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18 in Okinawa, Japan and served as a Platoon Commander supporting 1st Marine Aircraft Wing exercises across the Indo-Pacific Area of Responsibility.ÌýÌýIn October of 2021, he received orders to serve as an independent S-6 for Marine Air Support Squadron 2, supporting communications requirements and advanced Tactical Data Link layer capabilities for the Direct Air Support Center until his Transfer in May of 2023.Ìý
His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. Currently, he is a candidate at the University of Washington Foster School of Business class of 2026.
